PortMiami, one of cruising’s largest hubs, is home to eight terminals and dozens of ships representing all of the major cruise lines. Located in Biscayne Bay, to the east of downtown Miami, the port is made up of three connecting islands and is reachable by the Port Boulevard bridge, which connects the port to the downtown area. PortMiami caters to a local drive-to market of Florida residents, but it’s also convenient for out-of-towners, as it’s serviced by two airports: Miami International and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International.
